My employer is looking to trade in our 1992 Buick Roadmaster Eureka Brogham coach. THe car has 64,000 miles on it and shows very well. It is Dark Blue with blue cloth interior and a walnut veneer floor with no manual table. What is this car worth on trade? A dealer insulted our firm and said it was worth nothing, but being a veteran of the automobile biz, I think it should bring more than what they say wholesale. |

I owned this car from 1972 to 1975 at which time it had a 1966 Cadillac engine installed and the swap was botched and the undercarriage and frame started rusting. This is my second hearse. Possibly the hearse with the record for high milage. 346,000 miles currently. It was used at a livery service (mostly for the coroners office in Minneapolis) for the past 6 years as a removal vehicle which did on average 3 runs a day. It came with a thick file of work that had been done over the years they owned it. I added up all the costs of repairs and maintinence while they had it which came to $23,766. the cost for it used when they bought it was $28,000 back in 1998. |

i lovr hearses and it takes a really brave person to drive one and enjoy one when everyone seems to hate you for it. They say it is disrespectful" how is it disrespectful to drive a car that you enjoy? we are all going to die one day, therfor we will ride in a hearse one way or another, whats the big deal, some people like trucks, i love hearses, any thing that is the least bit different in life is criticized. let me drive my gas hog in peace . i have respect for people, and i try to treat others how i want to be treated thats the golden rule. hearses are part of history, they date back from hundreds of years ago, they are beautiful cars and very misterious, and very misunderstood. my first car was a hearse and i recieved plenty of criticizm in high school, but i continued to drive it , it was a 81 superior, i drove it untill my master cylinder went out suddenly and caused me to have a serious wreck through an apartment, the body of the hearse was trashed but i saved it , i purchased my current hearse last may 6 months after my accident it is a white s/s the motor blew up and it sat for months untill recently when i put my 81 motor in my 83, ive had her running for about a week now and i am so happy she is back, i am starting mortuary college in april so i hope to make some new friends, thank you for listening to me gripe about asses who dont like my car.

I am so thrilled to be picking up this beauty in two weeks! Ever since I was a little kid I've wanted one. An exhippie (and town pariah) had a purple one and I used to love to look at it when it drove by, now I'll finally realize my dream! My own gothic beauty. I can't understand why people are so against having these as private cars. They are just so elegant, how could you not admire them? My baby is black with burgundy interior and in pristine condition as it just came out of service from a funeral home that obviously took pride in maintaining a handsome hauler! Plus it has really low mileage. I was told the cemetery that most people use in the area is only two miles from the funeral home so it was only very gently used. I feel so lucky to have found this hearse, and even luckier that my brother is a mechanic at a garage that services area hearses so he can go with me to verify it's condition and help me maintain it and teach me about it's workings in the future! If anyone has any advice for a first time Hearse owner please feel free to drop me a line! Thanks. |

I just purchased a 1939 Packard Henney Service car. I was told that it was originaly a family car and that the owner did not like it so he sent it back to the factory where it was modified into a service car. The vehicle was then released as a 1940. Anyone wishing to exchange info please contact. I will be restoring this. Was originaly going all stock but now thinking of droping in a V-8 crate motor so I can get it up and running sooner. Not gonna make a rat-rod out of it. Want to make it appear as much stock as possible. Comments??? |

I just purchased this 31,000 mile Henney. Mostly complete, but rusty perimeter flooring and rockers. All glass good except rear door glass. One website I saw claimed 205 units were made this year-- but mine is #2230. I've always wanted one and this one shows up 1 mile from my house "FOR SALE". No visible handles or levers in "rear passengers area". I read yesterday that if the hearse has a slider window it isn"t considered a 3-way unit, although mine has double suicide doors..Any thoughts ?

He managed to get the molding off but kinked the shit out of it. So now I have a new windshield with a bunch of ugly glue sticking out of it. Should I contact my coach maker for molding? Or does Anyone know of a good after market source? Please help. Any input is appreciated. thanks.

Hi all. My name is Jeremy and I own a black 1976 cadillac M&M olympian end loading hearse. I used to own a 76 M&M lifeliner ambulance but I sold it to get the hearse because i'm more of a hearse man.
I found my hearse on an internet ad. It was stored for 17 years in an air craft hanger and it only has 22,000 miles on it. I am the first to own and drive it since it was out of service. |

It was retired from service as their main coach in June 2003 when traded for a new coach. It served a small country town in middle Tennessee since they bought it new in 1977 for twentyfive years. This hearse is definatly my finest work to date. I've totally redone the interior throught the entire hearse. Got all of the old 70's crap gold materail and put in very fine black and purple micro suaide and purple embroidered upholstry.Head liner is the only that that is orriginal and it's in great shape. This is only the tiniest bit of rust on her. A spot on the hood and a bit just below the rear windshield. With some light sanding a bit of bondo and a fresh coat of paint she will be one exceptional hearse. Just had the carbrator rebuilt and a new fuel pump and fuel tank put on and she puuuuuurrrrrrrsssssss. Don't miss out on this great buy.
